Run10/7/2008 3:29 PM48:245.5 mi8:48 min/mi675 Trail run @ Aman Park
Run10/3/2008 3:28 PM45:375.25 mi8:41 min/mi637 Bike trail run.
Run10/1/2008 3:27 PM44:155 mi8:50 min/mi618 Easy road run.
Swim9/2/2008 6:00 PM24:00.5 mi48:00 min/mi204 Reasonably fast swim for me.
Run9/1/2008 1:54 PM24:503.1 mi8:00 min/mi376 Ran with Chris. Really picked up as we went along, 8:30 the first mile, around 8 on the second so the last one had to be around 7:30. That's pretty fast for me.
Run8/24/2008 9:47 AM50:296.2 mi8:08 min/mi766 Had wanted 8 min miles and this is pretty close. Reasonably happy. Overall 2 minutes slower then last year.
Bike8/24/2008 8:30 AM01:17:0025 mi3:04 min/mi1496 Things aren't getting better. Bike computer didn't work and I took a wrong turn on the course adding distance. Still not very happy, but this was a pretty good ride.
Swim8/24/2008 8:00 AM28:00.5 mi56:00 min/mi238 Lake MI, calm water but still was slower then I had hoped. Not happy at this point.
Bike8/17/2008 4:38 PM52:0015 mi3:28 min/mi757 Nice ride. Didn't push it too hard and averaged 17mph. Need to a lot better then that next weekend.
Swim8/15/2008 4:37 PM10:00.3 mi33:20 min/mi85 Another disappointing swim in open water. I'm having trouble breathing for some reason.
Run8/14/2008 6:13 PM56:157 mi8:02 min/mi853 This makes me optimistic that I can finish next week's 10K in under 50 minutes. On this run I hit the 10K mark in 49:30. Good run for me.
Swim8/13/2008 3:11 PM09:00.3 mi30:00 min/mi76 Practice swim in Lk MI. Dang was that water cold! And it was smooth as glass so I didn't really get to practice swimming in waves.
Run8/11/2008 4:09 PM01:01:147 mi8:44 min/mi855 Much slower then I had hoped. However the I know the middle miles were run at sub 8 min pace. Red traffic lights really add to your time.
Run8/5/2008 5:51 PM25:003.5 mi7:08 min/mi425 Ouch. I remember now why I dislike speed work so much.
Swim8/4/2008 9:05 PM22:00.45 mi48:53 min/mi187 Before weights swim.

WOW 83 Miles! Awesome Job man.

Thanks for the compliment on my recent marathon. I'm trying to qualify for Boston and need a sub 3:20. I need to shave 8 minutes of my next marathon!

Congrats on your 50 miler! wow you are awesome and insane:) Kudos to you for sticking with it, I cannot imagine the mental challenge you had to go thru!

Wow awesome job on the 50 miler. I did stick to the plan. Went out easy and finished strong. You can check out the chart of my run by clicking on the row and it should pop up. My splits were 1:10 for the first half and 1:06 for the second. I actually think I went out too slow.

Congrats on the charity event. I've got the Copenhagen Marathon on 18 May and the Saab Salomon Trail Marathon in June. I debating on doing the North Face Endurance Challenge again this year in September. If I do, I'm thinking of doing the 50 mile versus the 50K. I've registered for the Marine Corp Marathon so I'll be in Washington running it in October.

Hey Tom, Think you could fix your earlier weight lifts with the correct weights? Someone wants to make sure the Top Page is correct... I wonder who...

10 miles is not a recovery run! Nice though.

Ouch! hope the fall didnt hurt too much. And I agree roads are pretty crappy to be running on right now.
Posted by mcbeev on 3/7/2007 8:50 AM
Great job so far Tom. Did you do all 4 hours on that treadmill run at once ?? I don't know how you can do that and no go crazy. I get bored with 30 mins.
