  • Track your friends even easier now. Not sure why I never did this before, it should have always been there. You can no add Friends by clicking add friend. They must confirm the request. But once they do, if you hover over their picture the tooltip will tell you the last time they worked out so you can keep tabs on them.
  • User Message System added. System use only now for friend messages, but in the future it may be opened up.

04.26.2008
  • Updated Home Page. Moved a few things around more to make room for some group information. New Footer. I think there is less wasted space this way.

04.23.2008
  • New Major Feature. Groups are here! Time to challenge your friends to prove who can run, bike, swim, or walk faster or farther. Browse on over to the Groups home page. And check out the forums for more details. I've been working on this for awhile, and it's a hefty code push so there may be some bugs. Please report them in the forums. Also there is a section on each user page in the top tabs called Groups, which links to groups that that user is part of.
  • Various small tweaks to user page
  • Various small bug fixes

10.23.2007
  • User page modifications, and Weight Lift tweak. A new tabbed structure allows you to see all your totals for all the workout types. Also changeg weight lifting totals to multiple sets * reps * weight and then sum all the different line items together, leads to the correct weight. Thanks Srybak and Mschmidt for the help.

10.05.2007
  • Weightlifting activity type added. This is still in beta but go ahead and start using it if you want. I need to find a way to compare them to make a "Top 5" list. Please report any problems to mcbeev@gmail.com

08.13.2007
  • Walking and Swimming activity types added. I still need to add them to the TopUsers page, charts, and totals, but you can now add workouts as swims or runs from the add workout form.

07.15.2007
  • Scrollable Containers. These are some big changes in the framework of the site. First of all you probaly noticed by now that the front page is sporting some nifty javascript to scroll through a bigger list of all the recent and top categories. You can now see what place you are in monthly competetion by mousing over the up and down arrows.
  • Friendly Urls. Most of the links should be changed to now support friendly urls. You should now be able to type in the username of your choice in the following format: /user/mcbeev or /user/taorunner, to be able to jump around to users that you wish to keep track of easier. No more messing around with crazy query strings. Please note those of you who had spaces in your username have had them updated to be underscores. Also the old url's should still work...I think. Please report any bugs you see. Because this might have really killed some things.
  • RunBlogs. I didnt have a better name for this so I decided to go with it. There is a new link under the main grid that is called View your RunBlog. This is a view of all the comments you have made for all your workouts on the site. It's an easy way to read the random ramblings of people like myself. Check out mine here: http://www.workoutdump.com/user/runblog/mcbeev

06.25.2007
  • User Page Tweaks. The width of the page is starting to bother me. But I did add some Icons to Power Song and Comments columns so that they would take up less space. I hope it better represents what the columns are now too. Also under the calendar view of your workouts there should now be a percentage of days you worked out on. That's a pretty cool stat. Check out MrsMcbeev's page and look back through the past couple of months. Her percentage rocks!

06.17.2007
  • Bug Fixes and Chart updates. I added stacked bar charts to the workout progress charts. Biking should show up as a green bar, while running is still blue. Also I worked on the group challenges for awhile. It is real close to being finished and I'm excited about it. Happy Father's day!

05.23.2007
  • New feature - Flickr Integration. This one is for those Nike Plus and Flickr users out there. The workout summary graphs have a new button below them. The "Send to Flickr" button will save that run's graph and email it to the provided email account in the new user profile field called "Flickr Email". To get it to work you must have set up an email address on Flickr as an upload tool. See Flickr's site on how to do that, it's real easy. Then once that is saved on your user profile the button will appear below the chart. To see what it looks like when it gets over to Flickr check out one I uploaded here.

05.16.2007
  • New feature - Comment Notification. I re-aranged the comments, they now appear in descending order, and added a new feature that emails you when someone leaves a comment on your page, in case the RSS feed wasn't fast enough for you.
  • Also the Workoutdump.com development team is back from vacation. Updates might happen more often now that the code monkeys are back at it (read: Mcbeev needs to stop being lazy and actually work on the site).

04.20.2007
  • New feature - Calorie Calculator. Based on the formula and method here you can now calculate how many calories you burned during a run or bike. Make sure that you have a Weight entered in in the Weight History table, and have selected either LBs or KGs for the unit of measure on your edit profile page. Click the new calculate link when adding or editting a workout to see how many calories that workout has burned. Remeber this is an estimate based on your Average Pace for the duration of your workout. So you will need to have a time and distance filled in as well for it to work.

04.15.2007
  • Top Users page updated. Activity type has been added to the filter to view Top User data. Check out who is the top biker here
  • Pre-loading some images for Cory. Fixed a few small bugs.

04.10.2007
  • Further Biking Integration. User pages now correctly show the totals for longest, farthest, and avg pace based on running and biking. Check out Srybak's page for a good example of the update.
  • The Browse Page got an upgrade. I added date the User Joined and made the page sortable with some nice AJAX action.

04.05.2007
  • Dust off that bike. You can now add bike rides to your workout history! That's right the second activity type has been added to Workoutdump.com. I still need to update the graphs, top users page, and badges. However you can start tracking the data now with the ability to add and edit bike workouts.
  • Also for manual entry users, you can now add and edit a Power Song author and name.

04.03.2007
  • Multiple Bug Fixes. RSS Pub Date Issues. Length of usernames on recent activity display. Few more. Changed this This Week choice to actually be Sunday through Saturday, not just the last 7 days.
  • Modified Home page top lists to show Top users for current month based on distance and pace. Let me know if you like this change by posting in the forums or if you like to see year to date totals instead.

03.31.2007
  • Added Top Users page. You can now view workout totals by user for a certian date range and / or gender. Check it out here
  • Modified Home page top lists to show Top users this year.

03.28.2007
  • Added All Recent Activity, and User Comment Rss Feeds. Also updated personal RSS feeds to have comments in them.
  • Fixed some behind the scenes stuff -again. Like Durations for km vs miles.

03.13.2007
  • Added Recent Posts on front page. I Think it looks pretty good, now there is no need to click the forums link to see if anything is new.
  • Fixed some behind the scenes stuff that you really wont see. Small Issues and bugs, pretty boring stuff. Love paging and sorting.
  • Don't expect a ton of updates around March Madness time. Im a tournament fanatatic and will be watching it instead of coding.

03.04.2007
  • Added new User Badge Format. By popular demand I added a smaller version of the badge that should fit better on people's blogs. You can use either one now. Mcbeev's WorkoutDump.com Stats
  • Added Random User display on front page. Why not?
  • Fixed some more Issues with KM vs. Miles display on RSS Feeds.
  • Fixed some more public vs. non-public weight display on profiles.

03.03.2007
  • Add Kilometer vs Mile User Preference. This preference will affect your badge display as well as all charts that show distance. Default value is for miles, so if you want to use KM change it on your Edit Profile page.
  • Very small bug fix to parse the correct date time for Nike Plus users. The date/time should now display correctly for runs added after 10:00 pm EST for any timezone. Booyaa thanks for the test data file!

02.28.2007
  • Added Community Server Forums. This is a first attempt at getting a forums system up and running. Check them out here. You can use your existing user name and password to login into them. However you will need to use the Forums login page for now. I plan on linking the two logins later.
  • Added Weekly/Monthly Progress Charts. Users can now click the Progress Chart on a User Page. A modal will bring up the users' weekly and monthly totals.

02.20.2007
  • Site Totals display. Had a few requests to add in complete site totals. Now shows up on the home page of the site at the bottom of the page. Post your workouts people so we can see those numbers grow!

02.17.2007
  • Added Comment system. Let the Trash Talking begin! Leave a comment to motivate someone or let them know just how bad you can beat them. Example can be seen here.

02/15/2007
  • Added User Badges. Login and go to your User Profile page. At the bottom is a preview of what the Badge looks like and and the 2 lines of javascript that you would need to paste into your personal site or blog to display your workout data.

02/13/2007
  • Workout Comparison Page added. Nike Plus users, after selecting a run the compare button will now bring you to page to compare any of your runs that the site has data for. Example can be seen here.
  • Tweaked the min and max scales for the workout pace charts to be based on the run data mins and max's.

02/10/2007
  • Nike Plus users, you should now see a chart of your pace for a specific run by clicking on the run in your Workout History grid. The charts will show for any data added to the site after 02/1/2007.

02/08/2007
  • User Profiles have the ability to change Display pictures.
  • Main Navigation improved.

Features Under Development or Planned

  • Manual splits added to a workout to be able to generate pace charts for non Nike Plus Users.
  • Automatic Data Uploader.
  • More Activity Types. First types to be added would most likely be: lifting weights, calisthenics, biking, swimming.
  • More fields added to a Workout, maybe even custom fields, example - average heart rate.
  • Goals / Challenges per user.
  • Workout comparison page - compare workouts across multiple users.
  • Comment RSS Feed.
